27.01.2022 – Subsea Cables: Data Management, Survey Operations and Maintenance

Online Event – 18:00 (Norwegian Time – UTC+1hr)

When we had the NOSP Annual Dinner in Stavanger in November 2021, there was cautious optimism that a semblance of normality could be returning to life in Norway. Not so! NOSP had high hopes to be chairing its first new year in-person event in Oslo but we have had to migrate online once again.

On Thursday 27th January at 18:00 Norwegian time, please join the NOSP team for what will be an interesting evening of presentations based around survey and its role in subsea cable installations. We will kick the evening off however with a presentation from Equinor regarding the management of datasets for and on behalf of activities within offshore wind.

The following companies’ representatives will be discussing the following subjects:

  • Reflections on Survey and Integration Activities for Offshore Wind, Timothy Watton (Equinor).
  • The Importance of Having Control of Your Seabed Data in Case of an Emergency Repair. Experience from Oslofjorden and Skagerrak Cable Repairs 2020, Ole Petter Hobberstad (Statnett).
  • Geophysical Cable Route Survey – Experience and Developments 2021,
Martin Wikmar (Clinton Marine Survey AS).
  • A New Laser Cable Measurement Device for Offshore Cables and Applications, Chris Cooper (Nexans).
