An in-person and online event – live from 19:00 (Norwegian Time – UTC+1hr)
Small Vessels, Big Impact: The Expanding Role of USVs
Uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) are the talk of the town right now. Various companies are exploring the concept, in varied sizes and for different purposes. It’s a tool that looks certain to reshape our survey futures completely.
In this evening’s presentations we have brought together the builder (HydroSurv), the small-scale service provider (Nordic USV) and the large-scale end user (Equinor) to present the whole ecosystem behind the evolution of USVs. This is sure to be an interesting evening that you will not want to miss.
Networking, as ever, is greatly encouraged. Doors open later than usual at 18:00, finger food will be available from 18:15 and there will be a break of 25 minutes after the second presentation to catch up with friends and colleagues.
The evening’s timetable will be as follows:
- 19:00 – NOSP Introduction
- 19:05 – HydroSurv: Different Missions, Different Platforms – HydroSurv USV deployment in Norway (Robert Everitt – Production Operations Lead)
- 19:30 – Nordic USV: True Remote Coastal Access (Sander Henriksen – General Manager)
- 20:00 – Break
- 20:30 – Equinor: Equinor Bought a USV — Now What? (Pål Atle Solheimsnes – UID & USV implementation project & Håkon Sikveland – Team Lead – Small USV)
Light food and drinks will be available for those in attendance so registration here is essential to get the correct quantities ordered. Although just over two hours in duration, the schedule is flexible; the most important thing is that we all enjoy the evening.
Due to insufficient NOSP personnel in attendance in Bergen, this event will unfortunately not be streamed. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and try to ensure the presentations are available after the event on the website.
