In-person and Online Event – 19:00 (Norwegian Time – UTC+1hr)
New Energy Solutions
What better way to kick-off the New Year than with a host of presentations about the changing winds that are blowing through the offshore industry, literally. NOSP will once again be collaborating with the Norwegian Petroleum Society (Norsk Petroleumsforening) for a joint evening of four presentations about offshore wind. Survey is unlikely to feature that heavily, if at all, but that’s not to say that what will be discussed is not relevant for us or others in the industry.
Note that as the presenters this evening are Norwegian, the option exists for them to present in their mother tongue.
The evening’s timetable will be as follows:
- 19:00 A Regional Plan for Renewable Energy – Sølve Sondbø – Vestland Fylkeskommune
- 19:30 Strategy in New Energy: Wilhelmsen’s focus areas in offshore wind – Magnus Sande – Wilhelmsen New Energy
- 20:00 Establishing Norwegian Leadership in Floating Offshore Wind – Arvid Nesse – MetCentre
- 20:30 Monitoring and Managing the Environmental Impacts of Offshore Wind using Subsea Drones – Al Rumson & Lionel Camus – Deepocean/Akvaplan Niva
Doors open at 17:30 and members of the NOSP board and NPF will be there early. A large spread of finger food will be available for those in attendance and a bar is downstairs for anyone who fancies a tipple or two. Although two hours in duration, the schedule is flexible; the most important thing is that we all enjoy the evening.
Please register your attendance either in-person or online here.
